Probate and Trust and Estate Administration

When someone passes away, there are a number of legal details to be handled. Our firm works with clients to administer the estate of the decedent, whether the person died with or without a will. We prepare and file with the court the multitude of forms to open either a testate or intestate probate. As part of our duties we guide clients in understanding their fiduciary duties as personal representative or trustee.

We also assist with administration of trusts and distributions of assets to beneficiaries. In addition, our firm represents clients in contested proceedings related to wills or trusts and helps clients ensure that there is a fair and equitable distribution of assets in accordance with the decedent's wishes. We also assist clients in guardianship and conservatorship proceedings.

The probate and estate administration process does not need to be stressful or overwhelming. We work hard to guide our clients through the process and help ease the burden for the family or trusted person left with the responsibility of administering an estate.

"The dead don't die. They look on and help."
