Home Owners Associations
The law firm of Jill A. Brabec, P.C. represents numerous owners associations, also commonly known as HOAs. We have formed owners associations and drafted governing documents for large mixed use and resort condominiums, residential and commercial subdivisions, and small townhome projects.
Another key component of our work is ongoing representation and counseling of HOAs. Often this involves collection of assessments and enforcement for violations of governing documents. As a result of today's economic and conflict-oriented times, HOAs need legal help in collections and disputes with owners. We can help in filing liens and asserting the HOA's super-lien as well as working to enforce or find resolutions regarding use restrictions and covenant violations.
We provide advice on governance of the association and interpretation of the declaration and other governing documents for the association. We advise associations regarding compliance with CCIOA (The Colorado Common Interest Ownership Act) and other local, state and federal laws. Our focus is toward helping our HOA clients keep risk and conflict to a minimum.
